From Bangkok to Koh Pha Ngan

Fly to Koh Samui and take the boat from there or fly to Surat Thani and take a shuttle bus to the ferry pier from where ferries leave for Koh Pha Ngan.

By Bus
Buses leave Bangkok southern bus terminal for Chumphon where ferrys take you to Koh Pha Ngan.

By Train
Koh Pha Ngan can be reached by taking the train from Hua Lamphong to Chumphon and changing there to ferry. Buy the combined train+ferry ticket at Bangkok Hua Lumphong station. Trains leave Bangkok at 6.30p.m. and 7.30p.m. Get off the train at Surat Thani. Train arrivals are scheduled at 6.23a.m. and 7.16a.m. respectively. From there shuttle buses (included in the ticket price) take you to the Don Sak ferry terminal. A high-speed catamaran takes you to Koh Pha Ngan in around 1.5 hours.
