Bangkok Bus Line: 1-58

This was my first time taking a bus. Why did the conductor let me ride so far past the stop? I had to pay a 50 baht taxi fare to get home, even though I told him from the time I got on the bus that I would get off at this soi, and that soi had a bus stop clearly marked.
